After a week of voting we can now announced the winner of the LAN79 MVP award for the CS:S competition and this time around it was something of a landslide victory.

After a week of voting we can now announced the winner of the LAN79 MVP award for the CS:S competition and this time around it was something of a landslide victory.
The vast majority of those watching felt that Cédric 'RpK' Guipouy from ROCCAT, the runners-up at the competition, was clearly the best player on show. Indeed, he put together a dazzling array of frags, clutches and clever play throughout the tournament and looked every bit like one of the best in Europe.
The overall standings were:
